It was going to happen eventually. Maddie and I went to McDonald's. Actually, this idea originated with Lucas, our Dutch friend. He wanted to go to McDo with Americans.
(Above) There are a couple of McDonald's in Lausanne. This one is right outside the train station.
(Above) I went with the classic Big Mac meal, plus an apple pie. And it's a bit pricier than in the States - this meal came to a total of 13.30 chf.
(Above) Maddie felt the Big Mac was much smaller here than in than back home.
(Above) Lucas and Me, shortly before the entire restaurant filled up with Catholic school girls in uniforms, on lunch break.
(Above) And I thought this was weird - the fries were EXACTLY the same, but the apple pie was deep-fried.
