Our first stop was La Ciutadella - an indoor & outdoor history museum which stood between our hotel and downtown Roses. We got there before the museum even open and were waiting when the doors opened.
(Below) Inside the museum was sleek and new with lots of interesting information.
(Below) I really loved this scale-model of what the structure looked like a couple of hundred years ago.
We spent most of the morning walking around the ruins outside. Very little is roped off and the site is quite large itself.
